Congress member alleges aberration in India map in UN AIDS report

New Delhi, Dec 19 (UNI) A Congress member today alleged that the UN AIDS had distorted the map of India in one of its reports by not showing Jammu and Kashmir as an integral part of the country.

Mr Lal Singh said he was surprised to see that the latest official report of UN AIDS had a map of India in which J and K was shown as being not part of the country.

He wondered how such a grave mistake could occur in the official report of an international organisation.

Asserting that Jammu and Kashmir was an integral part of India, he asked the government to take up the issue with the appropriate authority and get the map corrected.

Earlier, Samajwadi Party (SP) member Ramjilal Suman raised the issue of delay in reservation in private sector.

Supported by the Marxist member Basudeb Acharya and others, Mr Suman asked the government to specify when it would be introducing reservation in the private sector.
