CM's cavalcade stopped by agitators in Etawah

Lucknow, Dec 19 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav's convoy was halted today at Baidpura between Etawah and Saifai, his hometown, following a demonstration by a mob over a killing of a trader recently.

The mob, which was protesting against the killing, withdrew their agitation following assurances by the CM on their demands, sources here said.

Earlier police had to use mild force to disperse the mob before the passing of the VVIP convoy, during which there was a minor clash between the police and the agitators.
