Child run over by train in Ambala

Ambala, Dec 19 (UNI) A 10-year-old school boy was killed when he was run over by a train near Vijay Nagar locality in Ambala City today.

Kunal, son of a lecturer, was crossing the railway track with his bicycle when the accident occurred, according to eyewitnesses.

More than two dozen casualties have occurred while crossing the track on this spot, according to the residents of the locality, who were agitated by the incident.

They said that their demand for construction of Railway underbridge have been falling on deaf ears so far and warned of strong protest, if the administration continued to ignore their plight.
