Cellphones for MP's health subcentres
Bhopal, Dec 19 (UNI) An additional female assistant nurse manager (ANM) would be appointed at each of Madhya Pradesh's 8,855 health subcentres that would also be provided with cellphones and landline connections.
At the district level, the chief medical officer has been authorised to make these appointments and the honorarium was fixed as Rs 5,500. Besides, 600 new health subcentre buildings would be built in the state at a cost exceeding Rs 4 crore.
''At present the subcentres have only one ANM each. Each unit will be provided Rs 10,000. Such subcentres function in places with population exceeding 5,000,'' Commissioner (Health) Rajesh Rajora told UNI.
Under the National Rural Health Mission, the finances would be utilised for repair, purchasing furniture and equipment.
