Brand ambassador Akshay Kumar launches Xbox 360

Mumbai, Dec 19 (UNI) Microsoft Entertainment and Devices today announced the launch of its most awaited games Gears of War (GoW) and Viva Pinata for the next generation gaming console Xbox 360.

The games were launched by Bollywood star and brand ambassador Akshay Kumar. The launch was complimented by the announcement of some of the forthcoming gaming titles Dead or Alive Xtreme 2, Lost Planet, Superman Returns, Call Of Duty 3 on Xbox 360. The titles are priced at Rs 2,510 each and will be available to gamers through Microsoft's strong network of resellers across major cities in the country.

Gears of War sold about 1 million copies worldwide within 2 weeks of its launch and has been the fastest selling game on Xbox 360 in 2006 and ever on the Xbox 360 platform. It is a third person tactical action/horror game and is the first game developed by Epic Games exclusively for Microsoft Game studios and the Xbox 36 video game and entertainment system.

Viva Pinata is created by world renowned video game developer Rare Ltd and Microsoft Game Studios exclusively for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system and is rated ''E'' for everyone and is available exclusively on Xbox 360.
