Bhagawan Parshwanath Mahamastakabhisheka from Jan 15
Hubli, Dec 19 (UNI) Preparations are on in full swing for the first 'Mahamastakabhisheka' of the 60-ft monolith of Bhagawan Parshwanath and other eight teerthankaras from January 15 to 26 at Navagrah Teerth, near here.
Disclosing this at a press conference here yesterday, Yuvacharya Gunadharnandi Maharaj said the Dharwad district administration and all political parties were cooperating to ensure the success of the event that also included 'Pancha Kalyanotsav' of the statues.
Former Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani would hoist a flag to mark the beginning of the Mahamastakabhisheka on January 15. Several leaders, including former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda, Bihar Governor Rama Jois and Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, would participate in the function, while Dharmastal Veerendra Heggade would perform the first Abhisheka, he said.
