AP Assembly goes hi-tech, E-chat permitted in the House

Hyderabad, Dec 19 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker K R Suresh Reddy said MLAs, who had laptop computers with net connection, could henceforth carry them into the House.

The Speaker said MLAs usually get chits from their constituents from outside, requesting them to raise different issues and they could now get the requests on their laptops and hold an e-chat for getting additional information on the issues, without leaving the House.

Stating that members could also discuss various issues on their laptops among themselves, he said the facility was provided for the first time in the state.
