Amanjyot storms into lead at Sunfeast Western India Junior

Mumbai, Dec 19 (UNI) Jaipur's Amanjyot Singh fired an opening round of two-under 68 to grab the sole lead in Category 'A' of the Sunfeast Western India Junior/Sub Junior Golf Championship here today.

Chandigarh's Rahul Bakshi was placed second three strokes behind the leader at 71 while Tarun Veeraraghav shot a two-over 72 to occupy the third place.

Delhi's Rashid Khan managed a three-over 73 to occupy the fourth place while Udayan Mane was placed fifth at five over 75.

Category 'B' saw Kapil Kumar shoot an opening round of six-over 76 to take a four-stroke lead from second placed duo of Rohan Shroff and K Raghav Bhandari who were tied at 80 apiece.

Khalin Joshi and Rommel Mazumdar were both tied for fourth at 83 each.

In Category 'C', prodigiously talented Viraat Badhwar carded an opening round of eight-over 78 to take the lead. He was closely followed by Vani Kapur who shot a 79 while Rahul Ravi and Syed S Ahmed were both tied for third place at 80 each.
