Varun group gets LPG career 'Maharshi Vamadeva'

New Delhi, Dec 18 (UNI) Varun Shipping Company today said its parent firm Varun Group has acquired its twelth LPG career, Maharshi Vamadeva, with a cargo carrying capacity of 57,206 cbm.

With the addition of this ship, the largest LPG carrier in the Indian fleet, the company will own around 79 per cent of the total LPG tonnage, presently operating under Indian flag, a statement said.

With this ship, the company has now a fleet of eighteen vessels.

The company's vessel acquisition was financed partly through internal accruals and partly out of long term loan from State Bank of India.
