Uttam Sugar to spend Rs 300cr for diversification

New Delhi, Dec 18: Uttam Sugar Mills Ltd today said it will invest Rs 300 crore towards its diversification plans in the area of ethanol and co-generation projects, at the existing factory units.

The company has received the approval of its board for the project.

''Necessary financial arrangement is to be made,'' for funding the project, it said in a statement.

It has recently commissioned a new sugar unit at Muzzafarnagar, Uttar Pradesh.
