Uproarious scenes in AP House

Hyderabad, Dec 18: The Andhra Pradesh Assembly today witnessed uproarious scenes when Speaker K R Suresh Reddy disallowed an adjournment motion tabled by the Opposition parties.

When the House assembled for the day' the Speaker announced that he was disallowing the adjournment motion notice given by the CPI(M), CPI, BJP, TRS and AIMIM.

This agitated the Opposition members who were on their feet and urged the Speaker to set aside regular business for the day to facilitate discussions on the 'burning' issues sought to be raised by them.

Making it clear that he was not questioning the importance of the issues, the Speaker appealed to the members to take their seats and allow the House to take up the long list of business scheduled for the day.

The members stalled the proceedings for sometime. After repeated pleas by the speaker to allow them to make a mention of the issue during the Zero Hour on the issues, the Opposition relented.
