Unity, Pratibha JV win Rs 94 crore project

New Delhi, Dec 18: Unity Infraprojects Ltd today said it has secured a Rs 94 crore contract in joint venture with Pratibha Industries Ltd from Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation for a water supply scheme.

The project, to be executed through a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) with equal equity participation by both the companies, needs to be executed in 18 months.

The water supply project bagged on built-operate-transfer (BOT) basis involves - complete design, development of independent water source, augmentation of existing water supply scheme service reservoirs, operation and maintenance - of the scheme during the concession period of 30 years.

The project also entails supply of 10,000 metric tonnes of coated steel pipes which will be supplied by the newly established 'SAW Pipe Division' of the company.

It will draw revenues by sale of treated water to Ulhasnagur Municipal Corporation over the concession period.
