Sena chief warns terrorists against attacking him

Mumbai, Dec 18 (UNI) Issuing a stern warning to terrorists, Shiv Sena Chief Bal Thackeray today said those intending to target him would be ''wiped out.'' ''If there is any attempt on my life, the entire terrorist outfits will be wiped out from the country,'' Thackeray said in an editorial, titled 'aamchya angawar yaal tar..' in the party mouth-piece 'Saamna'.

''Our life is for the country and for Hindutva and we are ready to sacrifice the same for its independence,'' he said, apparently in the backdrop of the alleged threat to him by 'Lashkar-e-Toiba'.

Mr Thackeray is the editor of the Marathi daily 'Saamana' while MP Sanjay Raut is the Executive Editor.

He alleged that terrorists had developed base in the country due to ''appeasement of minorities'' by Congress and Samajwadi Party for their vote bank.

He said a conspiracy was on to divide India (Hindustan) with help of Pakistan. Bangladeshi infiltration in the country had increased so much that so that illegal residents played a dominant role in electing the MPs and MLAs in the 56 north-eastern districts, he alleged.

Thackeray said 80 crore Hindus had no 'Hindurashtra' but Muslims were concentrated in many countries of the world. ''But the Hindus, who are in a majority, were living a second grade life in their own country and those who were raising their voice against them, are being given doses of 'secularism' and reprimanded by legal action.'' Referring to the controversy surrounding Mohammad Afzal, accused in the Parliament attack case, Mr Thackeray said Afzal should be hanged. However, Congress and other parties were trying to protect their vote banks by dilly-dallying over his capital punishment, he alleged.
