Select metal prices ease on poor industrial demand
Mumbai, Dec 18 (UNI) Select metal prices eased on poor industrial demand, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange today said.
In ferrous section, Copper heavy and Copper utensils declined by Rs 100 each per quintal. While Aluminium utensils eased by Rs 200 per quintal on inreased stock supply from producing centres Brass cutting rose by Rs 300 per quintal on fresh buying support.
In Non-ferrous section, Aluminium ingots prices increased by Rs 200 per quintal on lesser stock supply.
Nickel cathode fell by Rs 50 per kg on sluggish demand.
Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 33,900, Copper utensils - Rs 31,400, Brass utensils - Rs 22,800, Brass cuttings - Rs 26,000 and Aluminium utensils - Rs 11,000.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 38,000, Aluminium ingots - Rs 14,200, Zinc slab - Rs 23,500, Lead ingots - Rs 8,300, Tin slab - Rs 598 (per kg) and Nickel cathode - Rs 1,800 (per kg).
