RS mourns death of Sukhbans Kaur

New Delhi, Dec 18 (UNI) The Rajya Sabha today mourned the demise of sitting member Sukhbans Kaur Bhinder.

House Chairman Bhairon Singh Shekhawat recalled her able services as an agriculturalist, social worker and parliamentarian with distinguished record of services as union minister of state for tourism.

Her election to the Lok Sabha for five terms was a testimony to her popularity as a leader of masses, he said.

Ms Bhinder (63) died here on December 15 after a prolonged illness.
