Police constable shot at and injured by miscreants

Morena, MP, Dec 18 (UNI) A police constable was seriously injured when miscreants opened fire at him early today while he was chasing them during night patrol in Kotwali area of this district, police said.

Constables Ramnaresh Dandotia and Raghubeer Singh were carrying out night patrolling when they found two miscreants at a television shop.

When police tried to interrogate them, the miscreants fled and opened fired on being chased.

Constable Ramnaresh was hit by received the gunshot and admitted to Gwalior's Jayarogya Hospital where his condition was stated to be critical.

Police said though the miscreants escaped, a motorcycle and some items stolen from the TV shop were seized from them.

On receiving information, senior police officials reached the spot.
