B'lore: Petrol bunk attacked, Rs 17.5 lakhs looted

Bangalore, Dec 18: A five-member gang of dacoits struck at a petrol bunk at Bommanahalli on Hosur Road here and looted cash worth over Rs 17.5 lakh, late last night.

Police sources said the dacoits entered the petrol bunk belonging to Shell company from the rear side and decamped with the cash after threatening the staff at knife-point. They had smashed the closed circuit television camera, before looting the bunk.

Senior police officers, including city police commisioner N Acyutha Rao, visited the place.
