one killed in BSF firing

Bangaon, Dec 18 (UNI) A 45 year old man was killed in a BSF firing along the Indo-Bangladesh Border near Ramchandrapur under Bangaon police station in North 24 Parganas yesterday, police said today.

The victim and a few others were intruding in the Indian territory from across the border through the gap of the barbed wire fencing when BSF fired at least three rounds to stop them.

A Bangladeshi bus ticket of Dhaka-Benapol service inscribed in the name of Prakash Ghosh was found from the victim's possession, police said.

His nationality was yet to be ascertained, police added.
