One killed, 16 wounded in separate road accidents in Kashmir
Srinagar, Dec 18 (UNI) One person was killed and 16 others, including a child, wounded in separate road accidents across the Kashmir valley today, police said.
A scooterist, Javed Ahmed, was rushed to a hospital after being hit by a speeding tipper at Lethpora on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway. He later succumbed to wounds in the hospital.
Police said a Tata-407 passenger vehicle over turned at Ompora in central Kashmir district of Badgam. All the 15 passengers were wounded in the accident. They have been hospitalised.
A Tata Sumo hit and wounded a child, Jameed Khatana, at Argam in Bandipora area of Baramulla district in north Kashmir. He was shifted to the Bones and Joints Hospital here for treatment.
