Nitish should resign on moral ground : Congress
Patna, Dec 18 (UNI) Congress party today demanded resignation of Bihar chief Minister Nitish Kumar after Patna High Court quashing the allotment of lands to film producer Prakash Jha in different districts of state for shopping malls and multiplexes.
Talking to reporters here, chief spokesman of Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee, Prem Chandra Mishra said the observation of the court that lands allotted to Parkash Jha were in violation of rules and regulations, was a setback for the government.
Now the Chief Minister should resign taking moral responsibilities for violation of rules and regulations, he demanded.
Mr Mishra had filed a public interest litigation petition challenging the allotment of lands to Mr Jha in Patna High court on the ground that rules were violated in this connection.
