Naidu too hurry to become CM : YSR

Hyderabad, Dec 18 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said that he was being personally targetted by the opposition.

Describing his predecessor N Chandrababu Naidu as a person ''in a hurry to occupy the Chief Minister's post somehow or the other,'' he said ''This is not the first occasion for my political adverseries to target me personally.'' ''Even when I was in the Opposition, the TDP, which was ruling then had ensured adjournment of regular business to discuss a suitcase bomb case, linking myself with it, though admitting an adjournment motion meant a censure of the Government,'' the Chief Minister said, while intervening during the debate on the issue concerning the land surrendered by him in his native Kadapa District.

''He advised Mr Naidu to be patient. God decides who should be the Chief Minister. Don't be in a hurry,'' Dr Reddy added.

The opposition Telugu Desam party and a section of the media had targetted his relatives to defame him, he said, informing the House that his co-brother S V Subba Reddy had stopped construction a mini Hydel project across Rajolibanda Diversion Scheme (RDS) in Karnataka to avoid embarassment to him. ''Just because he is my relative, he is being targetted,'' Dr Reddy opined.

''I have advised my family members to do business outside, knowing the mindset of the opposition,'' he said.
