Kerala Govt to promote Ayurveda

Kochi, Dec 18 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan today said the Government will promote Ayurveda alongwith Allopathy and Homeopathy in the State.

Laying the foundation stone for a Rs seven crore district Ayurveda Hospital here, Mr Achuthanandan said Ayurveda was becoming increasingly popular all over the world.

The six-storied hospital would be completed in a phased manner.

The first phase, involving the construction of two stories, would cost Rs 1.75 crore, Ernakulam District President P S Shyla said.

State Fisheries Minister S Sarma and Kochi Mayor Mercy Williams were also present at the function.
