J'khand HC issues notice to state Assembly Speaker
Ranchi, Dec 18 (UNI) Jharkhand High Court today directed the state Assembly Speaker to file a counter affidavit in three weeks regarding appointment of reporters in the House.
Justice Pramod Tiwary passed the order while hearing a writ petition filed by Pritam Anand, a candidate for the post.
Rajiv Sinha, appearing behalf of the petitioner, alleged that appointments were done by the then speaker Inder Singh Namdhari on July 16 and September 15 violating norms.
The prosecution pleaded that advertisement published for the appointment did not mention total number of vacant seats.
The court, after hearing the matter, issued the notice.
