IUML declares 48-hour "Bangla bandh" from Dec 21
Kolkata, Dec 18 (UNI) On the line of the Trinamool Congress, the Indian Union Muslim League(IUML) also called 48-hour "Bangla Bandh" from December 21 in protest against the unnatural death of a girl in the Tata's small car project land at Singur.
In a statement here, IUML president Jehangir urged the league supporters and muslims bodies to observe a total bandh on December 21 and 22 to vent their protest against the ruling Left Front.
The IUML had also expressed solidarity with the agenda of Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee and assured her issue- based total support.
" We are also demanding a CBI inquiry into the mysterious death of the girl, " he said.
Jehangir appealed to all Opposition forces and the Left Front partners, who had sympathized with the displace farmers, to vehemently protest this "inhumane and arbitrary" governance of the ruling Front.
