IOA AGM on Dec 20 in Delhi

Chandigarh, Dec 18 (UNI) The annual general body meeting (AGM) of Indian Olympic Association (IOA) will be held at the Olympic Bhawan in New Delhi on December 20.

The house would review the arrangements for the 33rd National Games to be held in Guwahati next year and the 34th National Games allotted to Jharkhand, according to a communication of the IOA received by Haryana Olympic Association secretary general Mahinder Singh Malik.

Besides reviewing the reports of the chef-de-missions of the 2006 Colombo SAF Games, 2006 Melbourne Games and 2006 Doha Asian Games, the house will also deliberate on the Commonwealth Youth Games to be organised in Karnataka in 2008.

The house will also review the progress made in organising the prestigious Commonwealth Games allotted to New Delhi and scheduled for 2010. Status on Indian Olympic Association's bid for 2014 Asian Games is also one of the important items on agenda.
