IBM appoints Dr C.Mohan as India's Chief Scientist
Mumbai, Dec 18 (UNI) IBM today announced the appointment of Dr. C Mohan as the Chief Scientist for IBM India.
In this new role, Dr. Mohan will be responsible for development and leadership of IBM's technical community in India, said a IBM press release. He will help leverage IBM's technical strengths to build synergies with key stakeholders, give impetus to client engagements, and develop first-of-its kind projects in India, the release added.
Dr Mohan will also be a key representative of IBM India's technical community with the government, academia, customers and business partners. An IBM veteran, Dr Mohan holds 34 patents to his credit and till recently, at IBM's Almaden Research Center in San Jose, California, where he worked on database and related topics.
Announcing the appointment, Mr Shanker Annaswamy, Country Manager, IBM India said, ''As Chief Scientist of IBM, here in India, Dr Mohan's involvement and focus will help us to further strengthen our technical talent pool in the country.'' He is a distinguished alumnus of IIT Madras.
