Heroin worth over Rs 6 crore seized from NRI

Ludhiana, Dec 18 (UNI) The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) sleuths today arrested one Canada-based non-resident Indian (NRI) with 6.3 kg heroin worth Rs 6.3 crore from the city outskirts.

The accused, Gurmail Singh, was carrying the contraband in a car when he was intercepted by the DRI team on a national highway here.

Gurmail, who arrived from Surrey in Canada about three weeks back, has been arrested under various sections of NDPS Act.
