Exservicemen association for hanging Afzal

Kangra, Dec 18 (UNI) The All India Defence Personal Welfare Association today demanded that the death penalty awarded to Afzal Guru for his involvement in the Parliament attack, should be implemented without further delay.

The hanging of Afzal will be a real tribute to all those defence personal who laid their lives fighting terrorists on Indian soil during the last two decades, Lt Col Shakti Chand, President of the Himachal Pradesh chapter of the Association said here.

The Union Government should judge the mood of those families, who lost their loved ones protecting the pride of the country, the Indian Parliament, he said while pointing out that these families had returned their gallantry medals to the President to protest against the government's failure to implement the death sentence awarded to Afzal.
