Delhi to host international conference on dalits
Allahabad, Dec 18: An International conference on Dalits and Minorities will be held at Delhi on December 27 and 28 next in which representatives from 40 countries will participate.
Talking to UNI here last night the National President of Lok Jan Shakti party and Union Steel Minister Ram Vilas Paswan said Prime Minister ManMohan Singh would inagurate the conference on December 27 next.
He said that the participants would discuss the problems of the Dalits and Minorities and find out the ways how to bring both the conmunities more closer.
Mr Paswan said that the conference would also discuss on the Sachchar Committee report, reservation to minorities and the problems of the tribals. He said that this conference would be historic one. As such last conference was held in Kualalumpur in Malasia in 1994.
He also said the national executive of the party was meeting at Delhi on December 25 and 26, in which presidential the election of the party would also take place.
