Congress, Jan Morcha should fight UP polls: Paswan

Allahabad, Dec 18 (UNI) Union Chemical and Fertiliser Minister Ram Vilas Paswan has reiterated that the Congress and Jan Morcha should together contest the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections scheduled next year.

Talking to UNI here last night, Lok Janshakti Party National President said that both Congress and Jan Morcha aims to prevent Samajwadi Party from coming into power again.''If Congress and Jan Morcha contest the UP polls together it would make a good impact,'' he said.

The people were fed up with the misrule of Samajwadi Party while the aim of the BJP and BSP was to collect money caring least about the problems faced by the people of the state, he added.

Stating that no party was going to get majority to form the government, he said,''if Congress and Janmorcha contest next state Assembly election together they would certainly win the maximum number of seats.'' Mr Paswan claimed that a large number of Congress workers were in favour of the electoral alliance between the two parties.

''BSP has lost its old and dedicated cadres and the party President, Mayawati who used to abuse brahmins was now playing in their hands and has discarded the Dalits,'' he said, adding, that the BSP workers have now understood the tricks of Ms Mayawati and were not going to be misguided.
