CM misled House on land issue: TDP
Hyderabad, Dec 18 (UNI) The opposition Telugu Desam Party President and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today alleged that Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy had misled the House on the issue of land surrendered by him and his family members in his native Kadapa district.
Participating in the discussion on the assigned lands in the assembly, Mr Naidu said the Chief Minister had earlier stated that he and his family members owned 614 acres of land. But today he said another 1,000 acres of land was registered in his name and others at various places in the state.
Alleging that Dr Reddy had violated the Land Acts and bought them illegally from poor beneficiaries, Mr Naidu said 'the Chief Minister had forgotten the Acts and laws since 30 years and now he was giving lectures on the laws to protect himself in the House'.
Mr Naidu claimed that Chief Minister had surrendered 310 acres of land which were registered as benami.
