Carcass of three female peacocks found

Hoshangabad, MP, Dec 18: The carcass of three female peacocks were found under suspicious circumstances near Palakmati river at Sohagpur in Hoshangabad district.

Sohagpur Sub-Divisional Officer (Forest) K R verma said today on a tip-off that more than three peacocks were lying dead, a team led by forest department officials Yogendra Malviya and Abrar Khan reached the spot but found carcass of only three peacocks.

He said the reason behind the death could be known only after necropsy. Wheat grains from the spot were also sent for examination.
