BSF seize truck in Indo-Bangla border

Shillong, Dec 18 (UNI) The Border Security Force today seized a truck with fake registration number trying to cross over to Bangladesh illegally.

Official sources said here that the coal-laden truck was proceeding from Meghalaya's International Checkpost at Dawki to Bangladesh.

The BSF personnel were surprised as to how the truck was cleared to move to Bangladesh without checking the documents and investigated, seizing the truck when they uncovered the scam.

This incident bore an ample testimony to the fact that the exporters had been engaging in illegal activities, the sources added.
