Bomb hoax in AP Court

Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, Dec 18(UNI) Tension prevailed at Chittoor District Civil Court today as a letter warning there was a bomb on the premises was received.

Police said that an unidentified person wrote a letter to the Court that he had planted a bomb outside the Court. A police team rushed to the spot with bomb disposal squad around 1130 hrs and checked in and around the Court premises, but found nothing.

The letter turned out to be hoax, but the proceedings of the court were not affected.

Investigation was underway, police added.
