BJP leader, two others killed in Jhansi

Lucknow, Dec 18: A local BJP leader and two others were shot dead and two others recieved injuries when some unidentified persons opened fire on them at Ranipur market in Jhansi district late last night, police said today.

Police said an FIR has been filed against three people including a SP leader in connection with the incident.

Transporter and BJP leader Manoj Khetria, his brother Vimal and their driver Moni Pal were killed on the spot in the market.

Two people, Deep Chand and Rambabu, were injured in the firing and have been admitted to the Medical College Hospital.

Old rivalry was said to be the reason behind the killing, police added.
