AstraZeneca Receives Healthcare Award

Bangalore Dec 18 (UNI) AstraZeneca has been awarded the prestigious Indian Manufacturing Excellence Award (Platinum) 2006 in the healthcare category.

Frost and Sullivan India Manufacturing Excellence Awards (IMEA) have been instituted to recognise and applaud the efforts of companies towards achieving an excellent-to-world class manufacturing status. It also recognised excellence in manufacturing practices that lead to high levels of customer satisfaction and Return on Total Assets (ROTA). The mission of these awards was to recognise the Indian manufacturing capability and assess its global competitiveness.

AstraZeneca Pharma Managing Directgor Bhasker Iyer said here in a release that the company was delighted over the recognition.

AstraZeneca had invested significantly both in financial and people terms in its sophisticated production facility which was designed to meet the most stringent international standards and conformed to WHO cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) norms.
