Another armyman commits suicide in J K

Jammu, dec 18 (uni) An army jawan posted with the Rashtriya Rifles (RR) shot himself dead with his service weapon in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.

Gurvinder singh, resident of Sangrur in Punjab, who was posted near Kishtwar town in the Doda district of Doda, shot himself dead with his service rifle in the early hours, sources told UNI.

''it is a prima facie case of suicide,'' sources added.

A court of inquiry has been initiated to look into the cause forcing the soldier to take extreme step.

Since october this year, the cases of killings ''in distress'' in the insurgency-wracked state have gone up.

Over a dozen soldiers, including officers, have either killed themselves or their colleagues.
