3 Karaikal MLAs continue Assembly boycott

Puducherry, Dec 18: Three legislators from Karaikal Region continued to boycott Winter Session of the Assembly to protest alleged neglect of the region by the territorial administration.

Despite appeal by Chief Minister N Rangasamy and Speaker R Radhakrishnan in the House at the fag end of today's sitting, the legislators P R Siva (MDMK), Omalingam (AIADMK) and V K Ganapathy (PMC) did not turn up for the session.

Cutting across the party lines, all six MLAs from Karaikal Region continued to boycott the session. Following talks with the Chief Minister, two DMK members and an independent member returned to attend the session6
