WFI chief congratulates wrestlers who participated in Doha

Chandigarh, Dec 17 (UNI) Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief M S Malik has congratulated the wrestler, who represented the country in the Doha Asian Games, for their excellent performance.

In the women's section, for the first time, one Silver and one Bronze medal was won by Geetika Jakhar (Haryana) and Alka Tomar (UP) respectively.

Three Bronze medals were won by Palwinder Cheema (Punjab), Sushil Kumar (Haryana) and Yogeshwar dutt (Maharashtra) in the men's section in the Games.

Dr Malik who is also the Vice-President of the Wrestling Council of Asia said the medal winners will be honoured by WFI at the time of the next National Wrestling Championship.
