Togadia opposes reservation on religious grounds
Mumbai, Dec 17 (UNI) Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) secretary Dr Pravin Togadia today staunchly opposed reservation on religious grounds for Muslims.
Speaking at a meeting of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Nirman Committee here, Mr Togadia criticised Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's reported remarks that Muslims have first priority on the national resources.
He demanded that the 2002 Parliament attack convict Mohammad Afzal Guru be hanged immediately.
The VHP leader reiterated the Shri Ram Janmaboomi Nirman Committee's pledge to construct the temple at the site, where the Ram Lalla idol is situated at present.
No masjid named after the Mughal emperor Babur would be allowed to come up in Ayodhya, he added.
