Temples should become centre of guiding force: Chouhan

Bhopal, Dec 17 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said temples should become a centre of guiding force, generating an atmosphere of awareness, goodwill and religious harmony in society.

Mr Chouhan made the observation while addressing a one-day state-level meeting on management of government-aided temples and auquaf properties at Samanvaya Bhavan here yesterday.

On the occasion, he announced to constitute the 'Dharmacharya Parishad' and its recommendations would be used to improve existing arrangements of the temples and mathas, an official release here said.

He said the Dharma Swatantra Vidheyak has been passed unanimously in the state assembly.

The state government would deal firmly with those indulging in encroachment on temple property in the state, he added UNI PS PDM RN1229
