Satyam to participate in Microsoft's Windows Vista ACF prog
New Delhi, Dec 17 (UNI) Satyam Computer Services Ltd has been selected by Microsoft to participate in the Windows Vista Application Compatibility Factory (ACF) programme.
The programme has been designed by Microsoft to help organisations around the world implement Windows Vista, its latest operating system.
The company, a key Microsoft industry partner, is amongst the first and one of the six global organisations participating in the ACF. Its technical experts have also undergone training on Windows Vista to oversee and facilitate deployment of the operating system, which will be available from later this month.
''As an ACF partner, Satyam has a significant 'early-bird' advantage. We already know how to mitigate risk and manage remediation associated with Windows Vista well before it has been released,'' said company Senior Vice President (Infrastructure Management Services) Nick Sharma.
An ACF partner will help customers determine how to make their existing work with Windows Vista. The company will help customers identify application blockers, assess their application inventories, and determine the best ways to proceed with implementation.
It will also pass on exclusive technical training and application compatibility remediation materials it receives from Microsoft to organisations that engage the ACF.
