Procession to create environment protection taken out

Puducherry, Dec 17 (UNI) Volunteers of the 'Sembadukkai Nanneeragam' today took out a procession from Porayur to the Periyar statue in the town to create awareness on enviornment protection.

The processionists, holding placards, urged the administration to set up a bird sanctuary at the Ossudu lake,impose a ban on plastic, dropping the proposal for the Special Economic Zone and satellite town here.
