Srinagar, Dec 17 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government has procured around 4,000 metric tonnes (MTs) of C-grade apples under the Market Intervention Scheme (MIS), an official spokesman said today.
He said the state government also decided that an additional 2,400 MTs would be obtained from different areas of Kashmir.
The spokesman said a high-level meeting of officials of state Horticulture, Planning and Marketing (HPM) department here reviewed the progress of the MIS.
The meeting called upon the area marketing officers to make efforts to achieve the additional target.
