IT sleuths recovers Rs 17 cr from GTM Groups

New Delhi, Dec 16 (UNI) IT sleuths recovered Rs 17 crore from the GTM Groups after conducting raids on its 28 business and residential plots.

The IT raid was conducted in company-owned premises in Mumbai, Dehra Dun, Delhi and Noida on Wedenesday and Thursday.

Upon interrogation, the company's Managing Director surrendered Rs 17 crore, a department statement said here today.

The search was organised by the Income Tax (Investigation) officers under the direction of the Deputy Director of Income Tax.

The group is engaged in the business of real estate and construction, blankets, jewellery and music.
