Govt allows e-submission of application for livestock import

New Delhi, Dec 17 (UNI) The Centre has inaugurated the Sanitary Import Permit Information System (SIPS) to enable the importers of livestock to submit applications electronically.

Till now, the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairing and Fisheries was issuing sanitary import permits as per the Livestock Importation Act, under which the applications were accepted through post or courier.

The importers can get the knowledge of proforma of the application, status of their applications and other informations through the system (website: dahd.nic.in or dms.nic.in/SIP).
