Former Minister dies in Bihar

Darbhanga, Dec 17 (UNI) Former Bihar Education Minister Kafil Ahmad Kaifi died at All India Institute of Medical Sciences(AIIMS) in New Delhi last night. He was 80.

Ahmad is survived by one son.

Dr Shah Nawaj Ahmad, son of the departed leader, today said his father would be buried at a local graveyard in Hayaghat in Darbhanga district tomorrow.

Ahmad entered Bihar Vidhan Sabha from Hayaghat Assembly constituency as RJD candidate in 1990.

Later he was made Education Minister in the Lalu Prasad Cabinet.

Union Minister of State for Human Resources Mohammad Ali Ashraf Fatmi, former Bihar Minister Shivnath Sharma and former MLA Madan Mohan Jha were among those, who condoled the death of Ahmad.
