Dell launches PowerEdge servers
New Delhi, Dec 17 (UNI) IT service provider Dell has unveiled two PowerEdge servers, PowerEdge 1950 and 2950 models that can deliver up to 25 per cent greater performance per watt, while reducing power consumption by 20 per cent.
Priced at Rs 1,56,050 and 1,76,644 (approximately) respectively, the servers combine the latest energy-efficient product design and technologies with services and partnerships as well as product lifecycle, sustainability and recycling programmes.

The new energy smart servers combined with Dell's industry leading-services, partnerships and sustainability programmes deliver the company's commitment to drive energy-efficient solutions that increase performance and reduce power consumption at the data center, he said.
The servers incorporate power-optimising features such as low-flow fan technology, high-efficiency power supplies, dual-Core Intel Xeon low-voltage processors, factory integrated BIOS and unique component design specifications for increased efficiency and air flow.
