Cong to gift bangles to Shivraj

Shajapur, MP, Dec 17 (UNI) Alleging that Madhya Pradesh's Bharatiya Janata Party regime was ''betraying'' farmers, Congress MLA and former state minister Sajjan Singh Verma today said that bangles would be presented to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in protest against his government's ''anti-people and anti-farmer policies.

''The regime claims to safeguard cultivators' interests but the situation on the ground is rather different. The ryot is vexed about inadequate supply of power and urea,'' the legislator, representing Sonkachh, said here.

He warned that on December 20 the Congress would stage a demonstration on the Agra-Mumbai National Highway near Sonkachh constituency's Aalri village in support of demands for electricity and fertiliser.
