Cong misleading people on Telangana: Dattatreya

Hyderabad, Dec 17 (UNI) The BJP Andhra Pradesh President Bandaru Dattatreya today condemned AICC General Secretary and the Incharge Andhra Affairs Digvijaya Singh's statement that Telangana would be achieved only by the Second States Reorganisation Commission (SRC).

In a statement here, Mr Dattatreya alleged that the Congress was misleading the people on the separate Telangana issue and dragging on the issue by talking on second SRC.

He demanded that the Congress introduce a bill in the Parliament on the separate statehood for Telangana respecting the sentiments of the Telangana people.

He said the BJP believed that the separate Telangana would be achieved only by agitation and the party would fight for it.

He urged the Telangana Rastra Samithi leaders not to believe the UPA Government and agitate to achieve Telangana.
